CRN 2014 Channel Chiefs Recognizes Two Global Convergence, Inc. Executives
OLDSMAR, FL–(Marketwired – Feb 24, 2014) – Global Convergence Inc. (GCI), a specialty technology distribution and services company, and parent to Interlink Communication Systems, announced today that two members of its senior executive team, President and COO Joe Serra and Senior Vice President of Channel Sales Richard Lewis, have been named to CRN’s 2014 Channel Chiefs listing. This is Serra’s second consecutive year being recognized as a Channel Chief, and Rick Lewis’ first.
This prestigious list of the most powerful leaders in the IT channel recognizes those executives directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organization, while evangelizing the importance of the channel throughout the entire IT Industry.
CRN Channel Chiefs were selected by the CRN editorial team based on channel experience, program innovations, channel-driven revenue, and public support for the importance of IT channel sales.
GCI’s leadership team has aligned its deep product and services expertise to deliver a unique specialty distribution portfolio that includes its own professional services factory to deliver global IT services that do not compete with its solution provider community.
Jim Bradshaw, chairman and CEO of Global Convergence, acknowledges the Channel Chiefs honor as an indication of GCI’s commitment to the channel. “Global Convergence is keenly focused on empowering the channel for success, as evidenced by the addition of two of our senior executives to the respected CRN Channel Chiefs list for 2014,” he said. “Our converged distribution model is being embraced because it offers access to rapidly emerging technologies complemented with a full line of global IT services.”
“Our team works with a variety of partners to satisfy the needs of our federal and commercial customers, but GCI’s high-touch, converged distribution model really supports our customer-centric approach,” said Ryan Morris, senior director of operations at BAI, an Annapolis, Md. solution provider and GCI partner. “It stands out as the most effective channel-enablement model that we have seen to date.”
“We are pleased to highlight the many executives throughout the industry who work tirelessly to advance the standing of the channel community within their organizations. The CRN Channel Chief honorees lead, inspire and engage peers and serve as valuable advocates to help ensure the health and longevity of the channel within the IT industry. We applaud their efforts and look forward to their continued success,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company.
