Global Convergence, Inc. (GCI) Announces Organizational Changes as it Aligns for Continued Accelerated Growth
OLDSMAR, Fla., Sept. 1, 2011 — Global Convergence, Inc. (GCI) a US-based company offering customers seamless, worldwide professional and managed services support and logistics for IP communications products and technologies, today announced that Jim Bradshaw has assumed the role as Chairman of the Board; Bradshaw also retains his role as Chief Executive Officer as former Chairman, Marty Poad steps down to spend more time with his family.
In his new position, Bradshaw is responsible for the strategic direction of the company across its existing business units to support aggressive growth initiatives.
“After over two decades as the founder of Interlink Communication Systems and a proven, successful entrepreneur, Marty has been and will continue to be a highly respected leader and a valuable, active member of the GCI Board,” says Bradshaw. “Our go-forward business strategy will build upon the foundational competencies and the core strengths of each GCI business unit to deliver a strong, balanced portfolio of services and solutions for our customer base.”
Global Convergence has seen exciting expansion on many fronts in 2011 including within its distribution business and growth within its service delivery operation – advancing both significantly on a national and global basis. To support its continued business progression, GCI has named Joe Serra as President and COO. In this capacity, Serra is charged with leading the GCI team of dedicated associates with a keen focus on meeting customer, vendor, employee and shareholder expectations every day.
