First in a Series of Organizational Changes Planned to Support the “Converged IT Services and Technology Distributor’s Global Growth Strategy
OLDSMAR, Fla. – (Marketwired – June 2, 2014) – Global Convergence Inc. (GCI) today announced the opening of its first European sales and technical support center for channel partners in that region seeking emerging, innovative and disruptive technologies to better distinguish their businesses. Located in Bracknell, U.K., roughly 30 miles west of London, the new office provides vendors and channel partners with in-country support and further reinforces GCI’s high-touch approach to products and services delivery. The move also marks the latest evolution of GCI’s aggressive global growth strategy, which includes several more operational and organizational changes planned for the months ahead.
The “converged” IT services and technology distributor has hired Simon Short as managing director of the newly formed GCI subsidiary Global Convergence Limited (GCL). Short, most recently the managing director of international business for NextiraOne, joins GCL today, responsible for building the company’s in-country presence throughout EMEA.
“GCI has an impressive business expansion strategy that will clearly and convincingly position the company as the preferred technology services and solutions provider with both vendors and channel partners,” said Short. “I’m excited to join this dynamic team and look forward to building our international operations.”
“We are thrilled to have Simon join our leadership team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and solid channel relationships as a result of his many years in the EMEA market,” said Global Convergence Chairman and CEO Jim Bradshaw.
